Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would receive so much personal gratification as I have in working with this group of energetic young ladies at the Hilltop Unit in Gatesville, Texas.

They’re just like me.

Volunteer - Montana Women's Prison,
Coordinating and conducting Toastmaster meetings within the prison is the best kept secret in the world. All our volunteer Toastmasters come away from a meeting with far more than they went in with. It is amazing to see what takes place within an inmate when they find out that someone from the outside really does care. The Toastmaster spirit is alive and well in our club and we are extremely proud of each and every member.

I personally benefit from the exuberance I feel knowing I make a difference in someone’s life – a person I can shake hands with, a person I can see actually change, a person who writes to me after he’s been released to say “Thank you.” I know of no program that offers a greater return on time, money, and effort then prison Toastmasters.
